Safety & reporting
- Inside a room: open the menu (⋯) → Report a problem.
- What a report shares: chats are end-to-end encrypted, so we can't read them. When you report, your device sends us the last few messages (up to 5) so our team can review them. Each one is checked against a fingerprint saved when it was sent, so reports can't be faked.
- Room owners can approve or deny each person, mute or remove people, lock the room, replace the invite link, or end the chat for everyone.
- Contact form: our contact form. Paste the room link in your message if you have it.
- Child safety: read our Child Safety Standards and how we act on reports.
- Immediate danger: contact your local emergency services first. In India, dial 112.
Staying safe
- Only share links with people you trust. Without a password, you approve each person before they join.
- Add a room password for extra protection.
- Photos and videos from others stay blurred until you tap them.
- Need privacy fast? Tap the eye icon or press Esc twice to hide the chat.
- Don't open files from people you don't know. Files are end-to-end encrypted, so we can't scan them for you.
- Check who is in a chat. If someone's security key changes and you didn't expect it, ask them about it another way.
